Field trip takes students back in time

On Monday, May 24 the 3rd & 4th Grades went on a field trip to Dexter School near Perry. The students walked the approximate two miles from Perry to Dexter and it was hot!! After eating sack lunches, the students spent the afternoon learning about what it was like to attend school in a one-room schoolhouse and playing games that students might have played back then. We also got to enjoy nature and observe goldfish in a small pond.
Best Part of the Day: Games, especially Andy Over - trying to get the ball over the school, walking, learning about how they heated their lunch on the stove in the corner, that they had no a.c., went to school from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
