Parents,
We have just wrapped up our first week of school. We hope that all of our students and teachers are becoming familiar with their class schedules. Hopefully everyone is adjusting to the new "school routine". We are excited to begin the 2011-12 school year. We have high hopes and expectations for our education family at GPHS and Elementary. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the teachers, students, staff, parents, and administration.
I would like to thank Mrs. Allen, the Board of Education, Mrs. Craven, staff, and parents for welcoming me into the Griggsville-Perry school district. It is greatly appreciated. But I am not the only new staff member at Griggsville-Perry Elementary and High School. We currently have four new teachers in Griggsville and they are: Ms. Jessica Bunch, Elementary cross categorical teacher; Ms. Megan Cookey, Second Grade; Ms. Chelsea Lane, Kindergarten, and Mr. Garrett White, Physical Education at the Elementary and High School. I would encourage you to stop by the school and meet all of the new staff members.
We received great news this week from the IHSA stating that your Griggsville-Perry Girl's Softball and Boy's Baseball teams of 2011 have earned the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award. It is exciting to see success in the classroom as well as extra-curricular activities. We will update this site every couple of weeks and try and keep you informed of the news and happenings around GPHS and GP Elementary.
