Monsanto Grant Nominations
Exciting news! Our school district has the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $25,000 through the America’s Farmers #GrowRuralEd program, but we need your help. Farmers can go online and nominate our school district to better our chances. Learn more about the program here: www.GrowRuralEducation.com
For the fifth consecutive year, the Monsanto Fund is gearing up to invest $2.3 million to strengthen math and science programs in rural public school districts. Through America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education, farmers can nominate the eligible local public school district of their choice. After our school district is nominated, we can submit our application to compete for a grant. The more farmers we have nominate our school district, the more it demonstrates community support and can help strengthen our application. Nominations from farmers are from January 1 – April 1, 2016.
Requirements for nominating the school are at least 21 or older and actively farming a minimum of 250 acres of corn, soybeans and/or cotton, or 40 acres of open-field vegetables, or at least 10 acres of vegetables in protected culture and NOT a seed dealer or spouse of a seed dealer.
