Girls behind the Bows

Full of smiles, hope for a good season and attitude that should "cheer" anyone up, the Tornado Cheerleaders are more than ready for this year's basketball season! The squad of 14 girls have worked very hard and have gave up a lot of their spare time for the sport, including long practices and camps during the summer to get a head start. "We offer a lot of different talent on the squad", says senior Haelee Harris, "I only hope to be better than the years before and give the crowd a great show!" The girls, on average spend $300 and more on camp fees, the uniform itself, a warm up, accessories like pon-pons, bows, socks, shoes, and more! The girls have done fundraisers already, including the apple-festival mini-cheer camp. However, everyone is just as excited for the Christmas mini-cheer camp! "This year should be different than before, we have a big squad, more dances, different routines, and a lot of heart!" says, senior Jodi Finney. The girls hope to see a big crowd at all of the games and can't wait for their first game next Friday against Routte! "Good luck boys, bring home a W-I-N Tornadoes!" -2014 Tornado Cheerleaders
