Griggsville-Perry Face Covering Guidelines
Griggsville-Perry Face Covering Guidelines
Face coverings are required for all students and staff at Griggsville-Perry inside the school buildings. Please follow these guidelines:
-Masks should fully cover the nose and mouth, and secure under the chin
-Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
-Adhere to dress code
The following are not permitted:
-Open-chin triangle bandanas
-Face coverings with mesh or holes of any kind
-Face shields
-Costume masks
Students and staff with health conditions that would preclude them from wearing a face covering must provide documented proof from a medical doctor of such condition. Educational and work environments under such conditions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. These accommodations must be approved prior to the student or staff member attending.
Griggsville-Perry CUSD #4 takes the safety precaution of wearing masks very seriously. If a student consistently shows that they cannot or refuse to wear a mask, they must shift to remote learning at home in order to protect the health of students in the building.
Students who refuse to wear a mask will be subject to the following progressive disciplinary measures:
First instance--Warning and sent home
Second instance--Warning and sent home
Third instance--Sent home and moved to Remote Learning
Face coverings are not required when outside the building and maintaining social distancing.
