Autumn Perry

Topical History, Current Events, Resource Management, Civics, World Geography, Modern World History and Class of 2026 Co-Sponsor

Autumn is a social studies teacher at Griggsville-Perry High School where she is also a class of 2026 co-sponsor. She joined the staff in 2022 after teaching middle school social studies for eight years in Garden City, Kansas. While teaching in Kansas, Autumn could be found volunteering for after school activities (especially running the basketball scoreboard) and sponsoring a trip to Washington D.C. for her students.

Autumn attended Central Michigan University for her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a major in social studies - focusing on geography with a minor in history. Currently she is enrolled in Liberty University online and is pursuing a Master of Education in Middle School Curriculum and Instruction. Previously, she was interested in staying in middle school education, but her current position is leading her to reconsider pursuing a different master's.

Originally from Michigan, Autumn moved to Kansas where she met her husband Jacob, a Meridosia native. The couple moved to Illinois with their two sons, Wayne and George, to be closer to family. They currently live in Jacksonville.

In her free time, whenever that happens, Autumn enjoys baking, reading, enjoying the outdoors, and attending Cubs and Illini football games with her husband.
