Mindy Wood is a paraprofessional at Griggsville-Perry Elementary where she serves as classroom aide in the K-4 self-contained, cross-categorical special education classroom. Mindy came to Griggsville-Perry during the 2018-2019 school year where she was a one-on-one aide for students with moderate to severe disabilities. Mindy attended Ashford University earning her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education. Upon completing student teaching, Mindy will be qualified as a certified teacher. 

While employed at Griggsville-Perry, Mindy had the opportunity to work in the Garrison Alternative School in Jacksonville, Illinois where she served as a one-on-one aide for a student who attended there.  Mindy has had some pretty challenging situations, but has risen to the challenge of all. Her dedication to her job is commendable. 

Mindy and her husband Nathan welcomed their son Walter to the family in 2018. She and her family currently reside in Pittsfield.
