COVID-19 Update for September 24th, 2020
Griggsville-Perry CUSD 4 was notified of a positive COVID test today, Thursday, September 24. This case was in the Griggsville building.
We are following IDPH and Pike County Health Department Guidance. All individuals directly impacted have been notified and will quarantine for the required time according to that guidance.
With the prevalence of this virus during this pandemic, it is not surprising to see a positive test. We feel our risk-mitigation processes are working. If children or staff are not well, we are able to isolate them at home. Masks, social distancing, and cleaning will help to reduce the spread, and the areas affected will be deeply cleaned and sanitized.
I continue to be optimistic and proud of the work of our staff and community. We encourage the GP Family to be safe and follow guidelines in and out of school. Going forward, we will communicate notifications through social media, our webpage and announcements. If you have questions, please let us know.
Thank you,
Kent Hawley
