Message To Families
Dear Middle School Families,
Today at the Middle School it was reported that during lunch recess a student was threatened by another student. We are thankful for the immediate reporting of this threat to the office. Once the office was made aware; the building principal followed district protocol to ensure everyone’s safety. The parents of the students involved as well as law enforcement were notified and the district threat assessment has been started.
With the immediate reporting and administrative response, there was not a need for a lockdown to ensure student safety.
We post this message to provide as much transparency as we can to ensure our families that student safety and communication are top priorities for the Griggsville-Perry School District.
Due to this being an ongoing investigation and FEREPA laws we are not allowed to discuss the specifics nor any potential consequences as a result of this threat.
Please remind your student of the importance of; if you hear something, see something, make sure you say something.
Sincerely,
Jeff Abell
Superintendent
Griggsville-Perry CUSD 4
